The Main Squeeze at the Bluebird

I feel very lucky to have been the recommended photographer at the Bluebird Night Club last night for The  Main Squeeze, a funk/rock band from Bloomington Indiana.  http://mainsqueezemusic.com/

These are just a few of the photo highlights from their show last evening.

Revising the set list
Thanks again everyone.

In Progress Stuff

Just some photos I’ve been working on.  My concept is all over the place right now, but this semester is going to be a bunch of refinement on my ideas.  The picture with the eggs was actually taken with a film camera, (I might be getting back into film because my digital camera has horrid distortion problems.  Old technology I guess).

Through the Viewfinder

This past weekend was the 4th Street Art Festival in Bloomington, Indiana, and I was curious about this technique that artist Leah Cavanah used for her photography.  TtV photography is actually more popular than I thought, but it’s just taking a photograph through the viewfinder of another camera.  So, I went ahead and just tried it out for fun.  I used my Rebel XT and shot through the viewfinder of my Diana + medium format toy camera.  Mine are nowhere near as refined or crisp as most TtV photography you can find, but it’s definitely a fun/experimental process.  The unexpected results of the process are most rewarding.

One of the more recent(ish) photographs I have been working on.  Excuse the dull color.  The original file is a bit brighter and more saturated than this jpeg file.  This is still “in progress,” and I haven’t finished editing it yet.
